This collaborative interactive one-day workshop will provide effective tools and techniques to support your Marketing initiatives to maximise business growth opportunities.
This workshop is suitable for those who are beginners to Marketing and for those looking to refresh their skills on the topic.
Marketing has a key role to play in the creation and development of a successful business.
Within this interactive workshop we will:
- Explore the concept of effective marketing/marketing planning and how it affects all aspects of the business.
- Utilize Market Segmentation to determine which markets and customer groups are to targeted.
- Help develop an effective Value Proposition and select the most appropriate communication channels to promote and build awareness.
- Cover the advantages of a strong brand to reflect the businesses’ Value Proposition and build a compelling brand.
- Explore the tools and techniques of the promotional mix

Meet the speaker
Elaine Simons has over 30years experience in business consultancy and training delivery. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of marketing and The Chartered Institute of Public Relations. After ten years of working in a corporate environment including GKN and The British Airports Authority, she established EJS marketing in 1992. Her training focuses on marketing, marketing communication and sales together with Leadership and Management/Team Building.
Elaine has worked with numerous companies both in the Public and Private Sectors, including varied initiatives for HE, including The University of Salford. Since 2018 she has worked with graduate entrepreneurs in the Launch programme (UofS) supporting their business bootcamp training schemes together with the Global Entrepreneurs |Programmes.
She supports a range of established businesses across a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, hospitality retail, recruitment & professional services.
Elaine has worked as an Associate with Winning Pitch since 2007,on programmes including: The High Growth Programme, Growth Accelerator, Boost Business Lancashire and Executive Development Programme (via GM Business Growth Hub)
Within the Marketing and Sales Arena she has delivered numerous training programmes on behalf of Winning Pitch to a wide range of growth businesses across all sectors including Manufacturing, Professional Services, The Creative Industries and Retail.
She established the Rochdale High St Forum and was instrumental in developing and running Campaigns for the “Win a Shop Competitions” for both Rochdale MBC and Burnley Councils.
Elaine continues to work with senior individuals and teams both in a private capacity and through funded initiatives
