About health provision in Greater Manchester
Greater Manchester has a unique opportunity to shape the future model of health provision in the region and is well-placed to build an integrated system that develops healthy communities and builds on our academic and regional assets to create jobs and investment.
Access to the NHS market can be tough, especially for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), which can face significant challenges to introduce new and innovative products especially that require rigorous testing and trials before they can be adopted.
In partnership with TRUSTECH, the NHS Innovation Experts, our support programme is for SMEs working in the Life Sciences sector and the wider business community to help deliver smarter and more efficient innovations for our health and social care services, where it’s most needed.
Our fully-funded support is for businesses that believe they have an innovative product, service or technology that has the potential to benefit the NHS and/or wider health markets. These include the personalisation, self-management, social care, public health and social housing market areas.
Our service supports businesses to develop their route to market strategy, commercialisation of products or services, and the internalisation of healthcare innovation.
From the development of physical and digital prototypes to reviewing your business infrastructure, we’ll give you all the advice and tools you need to access the appropriate health service decision-makers and realise your capacity to grow.
We aim to deliver long-term health and wealth benefits to Greater Manchester by providing specialist business growth support – underpinned by expertise, knowledge, and access to health and social care commissioning and procurement processes.
