Time: 8:45am - 12:15pm
Theme: Business Strategy, Operational efficiency

Change, though inevitable, is complex and a difficult process that is often resisted but without change or without the buy in from key stakeholders a business is at significant risk… so how can it be done well?

This workshop will discuss the people side of change and how to engage employees and others on the change journey.

There will be an illustration of 5 key elements (awareness, desire, knowledge, ability and reinforcement) that each individual must go through, sequentially when change is implemented.  Each attendee will come to recognise the different positions in the transformation process, using a model that will clarify the current state, the process of transition and how to achieve their desired future outcome.

A series of practical activities will be applied, utilising attendee’s own experience, by encouraging them to exchange ideas.  They will learn to diagnose where a current business initiative may be failing, or where a potential initiative may fail according to the 5 elements already identified.

Attendees will then learn how to accurately measure the barrier points that lead to resisting change. This will ultimately increase the speed of adoption and implementation of new business initiatives.
