Experiment with exporting at upcoming sprint workshop

Greater Manchester manufacturers that export, or are looking to export for the first time, are invited to a specialist workshop on 1 December that will help generate ideas for international growth.

Delivered by the Hub’s popular Global Scale-up Programme, the one-day workshop is aimed at SMEs that have been trading successfully for at least two years and offers senior decision makers the opportunity to step back from their day-to-day operations and think creatively about exporting.

The interactive sprint format will help delegates to explore export challenges in real-time and design high-impact ‘growth experiments’ that they can implement immediately in their business.

Delegates will also be offered the option to attend follow-on masterclasses on related topics such as IP, tax and legal, pricing, international selling techniques, distribution and channel strategies, and more.

Despite the current economic conditions, now is actually an ideal time to start exploring growth opportunities overseas, explained Global Scale-up Programme Lead, Phil Blair:

“Economic disruption and uncertainty are, unfortunately, unlikely to go away anytime soon – but that does not mean businesses with a strong product or service should be afraid about growing internationally. On the contrary, with the right support and funding, the world has never been more accessible for Greater Manchester’s businesses. From the expansion of direct routes at Manchester Airport to ongoing inward investment from key international growth markets, the opportunity to go global is at an all-time high.

“Evidence shows that exporters can achieve stronger financial performance, increase the commercial lifespan of their products and services and produce economies of scale that simply aren’t possible domestically. An international growth sprint can kick-start this journey by challenging your thinking, improving alignment within your team and generating new ideas for growth.

“Following the sprint, attendees will also be able to access a range of other workshops and support to help them achieve their export objectives.”

The International Growth Sprint workshop will take place on 1 December in Manchester city centre.
