What type of manufacturing support do you need?

Exporting has emerged as a key growth opportunity for manufacturers in the recovery from COVID-19 and the post-EU Exit economic landscape. Recent research has found that overseas demand for British-made products is booming, with many companies exploring new locations in lesser-tapped markets such as Oceania, Asia and the Middle East.

To support SMEs looking to grow through international trade, DIT’s new Internationalisation Fund offers grants for eligible activities, including but not limited to:

  • PR
  • Market Research
  • Consultancy on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
  • Translation / Cultural Advice
  • Social Media and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
  • Participation in trade shows
  • Market development, including overseas visits
  • Routes to market
  • Overseas business environment / Due Diligence.

The grants, which can be between £1,000 and £9,000, are match-funded, with the receiving business needing to fund up to 50 per cent of the total cost of the project itself.

Funding is subject to availability and will be prioritised for businesses that can demonstrate high export potential. For more information and to get support with an application, contact an International Trade Advisor by emailing info@tradenw.org.
