Manufacturers recognised at Oldham Business Awards

JA Harrison and co and Diodes Inc. were named Business of the Year in their turnover categories at the awards held in May.

Congratulations to Oldham manufacturing firm JA Harrison and Co, who were awarded the 'Business of the Year' award in the £5-10m turnover category last week. 

The firm, which manufacturer gaskets and seals, recently opened their new £2.8m hi-tech manufacturing facility in Oldham and were supported by the GC Business Growth Hub through this process, and received additional support from GC International Trade to access new markets. 

Chadderton based manufacturing firm, Diodes Inc were also awarded the 'Business of the Year' award in the £10m+ turnover category. Diodes manufacture semiconductors and supply components to electronics manufacturers around the globe. The Chadderton factory is headed up by Tim Monaghan, European President and one of the Greater Manchester Manufacturing Champions

The 10th Oldham Business Awards took place at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on Friday May 11, and were hosted by comedian Rory Bremner.
