Health and social care is one of the most important sectors in our economy. But with rising demand, workforce shortages, and complex regulations, providers across the UK are facing significant challenges.
That’s why GM Business Growth Hub and Stockport Council are working together to give Stockport based adult social care providers the right support, helping them identify genuine opportunities to grow, adapt, and build resilience.
The fully funded online webinar programme is designed to help businesses strengthen their strategy, improve outcomes, and plan for long-term success.
Working with the council and other partners mean we can give Stockport providers real tangible advice and support for how to make the most of both challenges and opportunities, that’s tailored to where they are and the communities they work in.

The sessions are for anyone who runs or manages a care home, domiciliary service, supported living organisation, or community health business.
Each session is delivered online and includes expert insights, practical tools, and interactive elements to help you apply what you learn directly to your organisation.
The sessions are being delivered as part of a wider programme of support for the Health and Social Care sector in Stockport. Following a successful event in September encouraging young people to explore careers in health and social care organised by Stockport Council and Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.
Councillor Helen Foster-Grime, Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care at Stockport Council, said:
“By working closely with our health and social care providers we can together deliver high-quality, accessible services that empower residents to live with dignity and choice and reflect the changing needs of our communities — always with a focus on prevention, early help, and continuous improvement."

Here in Stockport we have an ageing population and our goal is simple: we are shaping a future where everyone - regardless of age, circumstance, or background — can live well, independently, and with dignity in Stockport.
“These sessions will support those health and social care organisations who have ambitions to grow – but will also provide support to help tackle the significant challenges the sector faces across our region and the UK.
