Apprenticeship Growth Service celebrates 100 starts

The Apprenticeship Growth Service (AGS), delivering the Stimulating Employer Demand For Apprenticeships (SEDA) Project on behalf of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, has hit a milestone of 100 Apprenticeship Starts.

AGS has been supporting SME’s across Greater Manchester since January, engaging with over 650 SME’s to date. The aim of the project is to work alongside SME’s by completing a workforce development plan which will highlight any skills gaps or need for upskilling across their business.

Specialist advisors then work with the business to identify the best way in which they can access training for existing staff or recruit new using the apprenticeship model and taking advantage of funding available to them.

We worked with Deidre on developing a workforce development plan to take the company through the next stage of our growth, and apprenticeships will play a key part in that growth

Victoria, Cre8

The free and impartial service delivered benefits employers by providing the latest knowledge and up to date information on Apprenticeships as well as, for those who decide to take on an apprentice, an end to end service.

The Project is delivered by the Business Growth Hub and works in Partnership with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, delivering on behalf of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority.
