Trafford businesses invited to expert Lean Champion workshop

The masterclass has been designed specifically to help manufacturers implement a learning culture throughout their business by answering three key questions:

• How do you know if you’ve had a good day or a bad day – and can you measure it?
• How do you engage people in structured continuous improvement?
• Your people are keen to have more quantifiable good days – do they have the lean toolkit at their disposal?

Following a short self-audit, delegates will be supported by expert advisor Nick Brandwood to identify their own target conditions, next actionable steps and areas of focus for their business.

The workshop is an excellent opportunity to take advantage of the expertise of our Manufacturing Team and learn how to use practical tools to reduce the costs of doing business. Nick has over 20 years’ experience implementing lean and Six Sigma improvement projects in manufacturers ranging from automotive and aerospace to food, textiles and beyond.

Ahead of the workshop, Nick commented:

“Cutting costs is at the top of everyone's agenda at the moment. Not only is a lean philosophy the perfect vehicle to do this, it also offers a raft of other benefits such as improved quality and productivity.

It's about implementing a culture of everybody solving problems every day – an approach that can help any business, whether you’re a manufacturer or a service provider.

“This course will provide the tools of problem solving, the mechanisms to ensure that problem solving is aligned to business growth, and the coaching habits and routines to empower and engage others in continuous improvement.”

Following the workshop, there will the option of a follow-up one-to-one session to help delegates refine their actions and begin implementing their ideas in the workplace.
