Manufacturers invited to Salford University Acoustics Labs tour

Salford’s esteemed Acoustics Labs will be welcoming Greater Manchester businesses on 25 January 2023 to learn about the support on offer from the University’s experts and facilities.
The breakfast event will take place in the world-renowned Acoustics Labs, based at the University’s Peel Campus. The labs house one of the quietest rooms in the world and have been leading acoustics research for over 30 years whilst providing a range of UKAS-accredited acoustic testing services.
As well as a tour of the Acoustics Labs, delegates will also learn about the University of Salford’s other facilities including its Smart Meters Lab, Thermal Lab and world famous Energy House, which each offer a wealth of experience in helping to develop, test and certify products.
As such, the event is particularly suited to businesses working in:
- Sound insulation and sound absorbing products
- Noise reduction
- Thermal insulation and protection testing in construction
- Development and testing of IoT devices
- Development and delivery of soundscapes
- Energy efficient products and construction
A Q&A session and a selection of informative talks by speakers from academia, GC Business Growth Hub and wider industry will follow the tour.
