Final chance to access government-backed discounts on software

The government’s Help to Grow: Digital initiative, which provides advice and funding for eligible CRM, digital accounting and ecommerce software, will close to applicants in February 2023.

Help to Grow: Digital was designed to give 100,000 SMEs impartial advice on how digital technology can help their business, including vouchers worth up to £5,000 to cover up to 50 per cent of the costs of pre-approved software, including:

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software that helps to manage communications with customers
  • Ecommerce software that enables and supports direct selling from websites
  • Digital accounting software that makes it easier to record, store and analyse financial data.

The website covers useful information on issues such as how to identify software needs, finding the right supplier, cyber security, integrating software into a business and getting the best return on investment, as well as a 6-step software adoption action plan.

The initiative will close to new applications on 2 February 2023 and vouchers must be redeemed within 30 days from issue date. Applicants must be an SME that has traded for over 12 months and be using the software for the first time to be eligible for a voucher.

Help to Grow: Management, a sister programme that provides 12-weeks of discounted leadership and management training for senior decision makers, will remain in place. The management course is delivered by business schools across the UK, covering a wide range of topics from strategy and innovation to employee engagement and financial management.
