A free one-hour webinar on 1 November will see Manufacturing Advisor Nick Brandwood and other experts share tools and techniques businesses can leverage to reduce the costs of doing business.
The webinar is the fourth of the Hub’s #HereForBusiness breakfast series being run through October and November to help businesses navigate the current economic uncertainty and rapidly rising costs.
The previous webinars, including how to understand the energy crisis and how to reduce energy costs, can now be watched back online.
The 1 November webinar will feature a group of experts from GC Business Growth Hub and further afield, who will discuss other approaches to reducing costs, enhancing efficiency, improving productivity and maximising profits.
The webinar will cover:
- The founding principles businesses should understand when looking to reduce costs, such as the 8 Wastes
- Specific tools and techniques that can take costs out of a business, such as Voice of the Customer, Continuous Improvement and becoming a ‘learning business’
- How to decide what to focus on first through Value Stream Mapping, risk analysis and data collection
- How to empower and involve employees.
In addition to the Hub’s Manufacturing Advisor Nick Brandwood, an expert in lean thinking with over 20 years’ experience, delegates will hear from Martin Kirkham of Rapid Colour Services Ltd – a Leigh manufacturer that has benefitted from the full range of the Hub’s Manufacturing Services, including our popular Made for Manufacturing programme and one-to-one support. Martin will share insight into how Rapid Colour Services has reduced waste in its factory and instilled a learning culture across the business.
