The University of Salford’s North of England Robotics Innovation Centre is running a workshop on 12 November for SMEs looking to gain a competitive edge through robotics and automation.
Set for completion in 2022, NERIC will house cutting-edge robotics, manufacturing labs and teaching space, acting as a hub for SMEs looking for support with innovations in the field of robotics and automation.
Focus areas for the £16 million centre include robotics for intelligent infrastructure, digital automation and supply chain improvement. SMEs will be able to access world-leading experts in the field and work collaboratively to identify opportunities and validate new technologies in preparation for real-world deployment.
To launch the SME programme of support, NERIC will be running a full-day interactive workshop online on 12 November: Gaining Competitive Edge with Robotics and Automation.
The workshop will provide an overview of the current state of the robotics sector, a virtual tour of the robotics laboratory and guidance on some of the different approaches to designing, planning and implementing innovations
Some SMEs may also be eligible for a two-hour consultation meeting with a member of NERIC’s team of robotics and automation experts.
