What type of manufacturing support do you need?

The Made Smarter: Journey to Digital Manufacturing conference will show manufacturers how to fast-track recovery, growth and resilience by leveraging digital technology and the 4th Industrial Revolution in their business.

Curated by manufacturers for manufacturers, the event will use an interactive online platform to offer insightful panel discussions, workshops, technology demonstrations and one-to-one advice sessions.

Speakers will include industry heavyweights, as well as a number of SME manufacturers that have received support from the, Made Smarter North West pilot adoption programme, which has now provided expertise and support to 1,200 businesses across the North West.

Examples of sessions on the day include:

  • How to get started on a digital journey, led by Made Smarter’s Technology Advisors
  • How to lead the digital transformation in your manufacturing business, led by Lancaster University Management School
  • Sustainable manufacturing: How technology is leading the way
  • The teams of tomorrow: Engaging and upskilling your workforce.

There will also be a special session from GC Business Growth Hub’s Manufacturing Service on why digitisation does not eliminate the need for manufacturing excellence in a business.

In addition to the workshops, a ‘Technology Demonstrators Alley’ will showcase the latest digital solutions available to manufacturers on the market.

Donna Edwards, North West Pilot Programme Director at Made Smarter, said:

“This conference is an unmissable opportunity to showcase to UK manufacturers the tremendous achievements of the Made Smarter North West Adoption pilot and the value technology can bring to the sector, using real-life examples of makers who have started their digital journey, reporting growth, productivity and efficiency gains, and job creation.

“Whatever you make, wherever you are in the region, the Journey to Digital Manufacturing conference offers you the chance to learn from the experiences from industry leaders, hear directly from your peers, and gain the know-how you need from experts about taking the first or next step.”
