Over 200 top engineering firms will return to Manchester for the Northern Manufacturing & Electronics Show on 2-3 October to showcase the latest technologies and share best practice.

Around 3,000 visitors are expected to make their way to EventCity in Manchester to see the latest manufacturing developments, including Industry 4.0 solutions, machining centres, laser processing and industrial 3D printing, plus a vast array of components, workshop essentials and engineering services.

The event is supported by several key manufacturing organisations and trade associations, such as the North West Aerospace Alliance (NWAA), the Northern Automotive Alliance (NAA), the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), Composites UK, the British Gear Association (BGA) and Confederation of British Metalforming (CBM), among others.

Alongside the latest hardware, the show offers visitors the opportunity to improve their knowledge with a free technical seminar programme covering business as well as technical topics.

For example, leading experts will share how organisations such as Porsche have improved performance through the use of Lean and Continuous Improvement techniques, with other sessions looking at advanced materials, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), CE marking, mergers and acquisitions strategy, and more.

There will also be advisors on hand talk about your growth challenges, funding that is available to help you and how to access further manufacturing support across the North West.
