Want a EUREKA! moment? Head to Manchester this May

Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse will host the UK’s largest R&D and innovation event of 2019 on 14-16 May, with over 1,700 people from 55 countries expected to attend.

The EUREKA Global Innovation Summit 2019, hosted by Innovate UK, is a free-to-attend event for UK businesses which brings together policymakers, research organisations and support networks from around the world to foster innovation and collaboration.

The event is arranged by the EUREKA network, a group of national ministries and innovation agencies of which the UK has chairmanship in 2019.

The 2019 Summit will be themed around the four Grand Challenges of the UK’s Industrial Strategy: Artificial Intelligence and Data, Ageing Society, Clean Growth and Future of Mobility. Leading policymakers and business representatives will give their predictions for each and outline the opportunities for businesses.

Confirmed speakers include Ruth Nic Aoidh, Executive Director of Commercial and Legal at McLaren Automotive; Paul Stein, Chief Technology Officer at Roll-Royce; Ingeborg Rosenvinge, Head of R&D and leader of 3D printing at Danish manufacturer Thürmer Tools; and a wide range of innovation experts both from the UK and abroad.

SME owners with a ticket will have access to face-to-face networking and matchmaking opportunities, knowledge workshops, keynote talks and more.

Ahead of the Summit, Dora Meredith, Senior Coordinator of the UK Chairmanship of EUREKA, said:

“This is a free to attend event where you will receive practical advice on scale-up, pitching and valuable forecasting across topics ranging from the identity of the next disruptors to the future trends in manufacturing.”

Business owners looking to collaborate globally, scale-up their business and find out what the Industrial Strategy Grand Challenges mean for their business are invited to complete a short application form to check their suitability for the event.
