Manufacturing photo competition open for entries

Manufacturers are being encouraged to open their doors to amateur and professional photographers capturing ‘everyday manufacturing’ for EFF’s annual photography competition.

Photographers of all experience levels are being asked to capture the dynamism of modern British industry and champion the next generation of talent and technology in the sector.

Photographs can portray any stage of manufacturing, from design, process and technology in action through to the finished product.

There are four categories: Next Generation, capturing apprentices and young people in action; Future Technology, focusing on automation, robotics, digital and clean technologies; Manufacturing Process, for the journey from design to the production line; and Manufacturing Product, for the finished component or product.

Winning photographers will get their hands on a share of a £5,000 prize fund and the chance for their photos to be showcased in national media.

Stephen Phipson, chief executive at EEF, said:

“The Manufacturing Photography competition shines a light on our forward looking and innovative industry. It celebrates the people and the products that help make manufacturing the beating heart of the UK economy.”

The competition closes for entries on 30 September. For more information, visit www.eef.org.uk/photo.
