The North West’s biggest annual innovation event returns to Manchester on 13 September and manufacturers are being urged to enter the Innovation Showcase Competition.
Venturefest North West, now in its fifth year, offers companies a unique networking platform, inspirational speakers and interactive workshops.
The centerpiece of the event is the Innovation Showcase Competition, which is open to start-ups and established businesses alike.
The finalists have the chance to pitch their product, service or digital innovation idea to an audience of potential investors and win a package of support provided by partners of GC Business Growth Hub.
Chris Greenhalgh, Head of Innovation and Programme Development at the Hub, said:
“We strongly encourage businesses to enter the Innovation Showcase Competition. We have helped last year’s 90 entrants to secure over £4 million-worth of funding offers in total.”
Businesses that do not consider themselves ‘innovative’ should not be put off attending Venturefest, he added:
“Innovation has a far broader meaning than people sometimes think: it’s not just about ground-breaking technology – businesses innovate in many different ways, developing new services, implementing processes and launching new business models to meet changing market needs.
“Venturefest is somewhere that can provide that important spark of inspiration or new contract that will make a real difference to your business.”
