Stockport manufacturing firm brings in top chef to develop new vegan range

An award-winning vegan chef has been brought in to develop a range of frozen vegan products which will launch in the summer.

Matt Nutter from Stockport’s ‘The Allotment Vegan’ restaurant, has partnered with The Authentic Food Company, which is a leading provider of frozen world foods.

The family owned businesses supply frozen Indian, Oriental and vegetarian meals into private label retail, branded and food service industries.

The new range is in response to the 360% rise in people adopting a plant-based diet over the last decade, with over half a million vegan’s in the UK.

Speaking about the partnership, Matt said:

“The vegan trend has exploded over the last few years with supermarkets and restaurants now offering vegan options, but these dishes can often be uninspiring.

“Through the partnership with The Authentic Food Co, I want to take mainstream vegan food to the next level and create a flavoursome and inspiring range that is more accessible and will entice non-vegans as well as those who live a plant-based life.”
