A Rochdale-based manufacturer with 83 staff has fallen into administration although no redundancies have been made while a buyer is sought.
PW Greenhalgh & Co entered administration on 25 January 2018, with Kerry Bailey and Matthew Tait of BDO appointed administrators.
The company makes blackout coatings and linings, finishing and dyeing, garment interlining and fusible coatings for the textile industry.
PW Greenhalgh & Co employs 83 members of staff who are all based in Rochdale. All employees have been retained at this time.
The administrators plan to continue trading the company with a view to achieving a going-concern sale.
Bailey said: "Unfortunately, a downturn in market conditions have significantly affected the business, resulting in a reduction in orders and deteriorating margins due to increased raw material costs.
"However, we are hopeful of securing a sale and the company will continue to trade whilst this is explored. In the meantime, any interested parties should contact BDO."
