New mentoring programme for North West manufacturers

North West manufacturers are invited to participate in a new mentoring pilot with leaders from Siemens, BAE Systems and GlaxoSmithKline.

The new programme which is led by the Productivity Leadership Group and supported by the Business Growth Hub is designed to connect ambitious executives with experienced leaders from large manufacturing firms to help them achieve their personal and commercial objectives.

Dawn Duggan, Leadership & Workforce Development Manager at the Business Growth Hub said:

“This pilot programme is a fantastic opportunity for manufacturers across the North West. Not only does it give them a window into how larger firms drive productivity in their operations, but the breadth of mentors supporting the programme, means there is support across a range of specialisms – from R&D, finance and operations, right through to developing the leaders of tomorrow.”

The pilot begins this month with an initial group of 20, with the intention to make further connections when the programme rolls out nationally later this year. The programme will include the opportunity for mutual factory tours as well as one-to-one coaching.

Dawn said:

“I urge ambitious manufacturing leaders to act now and ensure that they take advantage of this fantastic opportunity. The prospect of working with some of the best manufacturers in the business is too good an opportunity to miss.”
