The workshop which is held on 15 February at Print City, Manchester is designed to demonstrate the role of rapid prototyping, and help businesses to harness the benefits of this technology.
Karen Dudley, Innovation Advisor at the Hub said:
"New product time to market is a critical factor that not only affects a particular product’s revenue and profitability, but can impact the overall success of your company. The longer the period of missed time to market, the larger the lost opportunity, revenue and profits.
"79% of new products miss their launch date - this masterclass will introduce businesses to technology that can help reduce time to market and reduce risk through early user and supply chain engagement."
The half day masterclass will include a presentations from the event partners, a practical design exercise and a demonstration of the facilities at Manchester Metropolitan University including their cutting edge 3D printing and laser cutting technology.
The event is organised by the Business Growth Hub's Innovation team and includes speakers from Manchester Metropolitan University and Giraffe Innovation, who work with businesses including GlaxoSmithKline, DELL, Unilever and Marks and Spencer on innovation projects.
Attendees at the session can expect to inject new energy into theitr business, generate novel solutions to current problems or to learn new techniques to support their customers.
