Manufacturing Services Manager
Anne leads the Business Growth Hub’s Manufacturing Service and is dedicated to supporting the growth of the manufacturing sector. She is a highly experienced operational and programme manager, with over 15 years’ experience leading programmes at The Manufacturing Institute.
Anne has an MSc in Management, and is highly knowledgeable in providing tailored support to manufacturing SMEs.
Phil has over 20 years experience, supporting business growth for small and medium manufacturing enterprises.
Formerly delivering the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS), Phil is well versed in working with manufacturers to identify growth opportunities and implementing operational improvement plans. A Six Sigma Green belt, Phil is a lean manufacturing expert with specialisms in continuous improvement, waste minimisation and quality management.
Geoff is a highly skilled manufacturing specialist, practiced in supporting manufacturing businesses to implement lean tools and techniques which will increase efficiency. Geoff is passionate about helping manufacturers work smarter and to do more with less.
With a background in engineering design and experience running a successful business, Geoff is skilled at strategic planning, developing sales and marketing strategies to generate new customers and delivering sustained profitability.
Manufacturing & Engineering Events Co-ordinator
Aspa is an experienced events management professional, who has delivered a variety of B2B events within the commercial and third sectors.
Aspa manages the Manufacturing and Engineering team's programme of events and workshops, which are held across the North West. Aspa also delivers the Manufacturing Champions event programme.
Andy is a highly skilled process improvement specialist with over 20 years’ experience as an Advisor for the manufacturing and engineering sector.
Previously of the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) Andy is a Lean Six Sigma practitioner who has helped increase productivity in hundreds of businesses. He is also highly knowledgeable on new product and process design, supporting businesses to embed cultural change or launch products to new markets.
Andy is also skilled at integrating digital technologies within operations and supporting businesses to capture and analyse data to influence decision making.
Martin has over 37 years’ experience in industry, first working in the aerospace sector and latterly supporting manufacturing and engineering firms to achieve their growth ambitions.
His recent achievements include:
supporting a client to implement a new funding stream for the opening a world class new facility, leading to 20% growth in their business
supporting a business to enter new Markets, increasing turnover by over 12%.
Manufacturing & Engineering Technical Support Officer
Lindsey is a skilled project manager with experience in delivering projects for the manufacturing sector, having previously worked at The Manufacturing Institute.
Lindsey supports the manufacturing team by managing impact reports, ensuring compliance and measuring the success of interventions.
Starting out as an Engineering Technician Apprentice and graduating in Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Steve has worked in and around engineering and manufacturing for over 28 years.
In this time, he has been involved in a multitude of change projects in a wide range of sectors and scale of businesses, in both the UK and in Europe. In roles ranging from operational to strategic levels and in areas spanning:
- Technical R&D
- Process Development including Process Simulation
- Training, Coaching and Mentoring
- Strategic Development
He is passionate about people and skills development at all levels in the industry to drive effective change.
ERDF Grant Co-ordinator
Vikki is an experienced coordinator who provides operational support to the Manufacturing team. Covering compliance, reporting and processing the Manufacturing Growth Fund grants for companies.
Vikki has a wealth of customer service experience in various sectors, at different levels, and takes pride in building excellent working relationships with clients and colleagues.
Previously worked for Winning Pitch on the Boost Growth Support Programme in Lancashire.
Manufacturing & Engineering Intelligence Officer
Jacqui manages the team’s online resources – developing news, insights, factsheets and a monthly newsletter to help manufacturers stay abreast of the latest trends in their industry. Jacqui also leads on delivering the Manufacturing Champions events programme.
A communications graduate, Jacqui is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations with 15 years’ experience delivering information services and event programmes for businesses.
Alan has over 3 decades of experience in the manufacturing sector, most recently running an engineering and services business.
During his career, he has developed innovative manufacturing systems which have enabled a string of overseas machine sales to countries in the EU and the Far East. Similarly he has sold and managed a number of high value contracts to blue chip organisations in the USA.
A Chartered Engineer, he is experienced in developing bespoke strategies to deliver operational and business success.
Manufacturing & Engineering Team Co-ordinator
Matt is an experienced co-ordinator who provides operational support to the manufacturing team. Matt is adept at matching clients with the most relevant advisor for their needs, and supports the team with compliance, reporting and processing the Manufacturing Growth Fund grants for companies.
In addition, Matt supports the Manufacturing Services Manager with operational delivery.
