Utilitri has been receiving low carbon sector development support from the Green Growth service since August 2014 to help identify and overcome barriers to growth in Greater Manchester’s low carbon economy.
The company holds a number of industry accreditations and has already built up a large portfolio of customers through its experienced team, which includes specialist roofing contractors, electrical engineers and customer care staff.
However, with most of its sales coming from existing clients and referrals, the Green Growth service helped Utilitri to develop a sales and marketing strategy to increase direct sales leads and reduce business risk.
As a result, Utilitri has recruited its own sales team, and in a new video documenting the company’s success, operations manager Ross Winstanley revealed that the company is “flourishing” as a result.
“The relationship has blossomed between the Business Growth Hub and Utilitri to the point now where we’ve got three sales people, which we never thought we would have, and it’s put Utilitri in a great position”, he said.
The support has also “helped us to secure some major contracts with some major suppliers”, he added.
Amy House, Green Growth low carbon sector advisor, said: “Utilitri are an experienced company with a great reputation within the industry and an impressive portfolio of customers.
“We are happy to be working with them to provide additional resources to help actively generate new sales leads and ensure that they maximise their potential.”
