Resource efficiency in manufacturing

The Manufacturer magazine has launched a national survey of manufacturers to explore their approaches to resource efficiency – contributors will receive a free report to help plan improvements.

The Manufacturer magazine has launched a national survey of manufacturers to explore their approaches to resource efficiency – contributors will receive a free report to help plan improvements.

The Manufacturer has partnered with sustainability platform 2degrees to better understand the resource efficiency challenges and concerns facing manufacturers, from minimising waste to maximising the efficient use of energy, water and raw materials.

The survey will examine the barriers different companies are facing and what systems and methods they are using to implement changes.

Once the results have been collated, The Manufacturer will provide contributors with a 12 month subscription to its print magazine and a ‘comprehensive report’ so that they can understand how their priorities measure up with sector leaders and plan future improvements.

What is resource efficiency?

The key value proposition of resource efficiency is that profitability can be improved by reducing the use of resources in manufacturing processes. It is also vital for improving environmental performance – recent research shows that resource efficiency can be far more effective at reducing emissions than relying on “exciting new technologies”.
