The Business Growth Hub is hosting a special listening event on 8 March for companies in Greater Manchester’s green tech and services sector.
The Green Summit on 21 March 2018, organised by Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham, will bring together “some of the brightest environmental minds in the UK” and help establish a new ‘Environment Charter’ for the city.
The aim is to make Greater Manchester one of the leading green cities in Europe and explore how the current target to reach carbon neutrality before 2050 could be brought forward.
The shift would bring major opportunities to the whole green services sector, benefiting everybody from renewable energy installers to waste recycling providers.
To give companies an insight into the latest size and growth data for this thriving sector and its role in the transition, the Greater Manchester Business Growth Hub is hosting a breakfast listening event which will formally feed into the Green Summit.
The listening event takes place on 8 March at the Stockport Business and Innovation Centre. To register your interest, click here.
