Sell with Confidence: Win Attention, Close Deals and Unlock New Markets
This engaging and practical networking workshop is designed to help manufacturing businesses build confidence in selling, improve their sales techniques and discover new opportunities for growth, while connecting with other local businesses along the way.
The session will begin with a warm welcome and an opportunity to meet fellow attendees over refreshments. The Business Growth Hub will then explore the importance of making a strong first impression through a 30-second attention grabber. Attendees will develop and practise their own pitch before presenting it to the room, helping them communicate their business offering clearly, confidently and effectively, and giving everyone a chance to hear what other businesses are doing.
Keynote speaker Steve McSherry will share insights into technical selling, providing practical advice to help businesses communicate the value of their products with confidence. David Loader from the CDT team will then show you how to use the MEDDIC framework to structure your sales conversations, helping you qualify opportunities and focus your time on the right prospects.
A generous networking coffee break will follow, giving you time to share experiences, swap ideas and build valuable connections with other manufacturers. Afterwards, the Business Growth Hub will explore different approaches to selling, how to choose the right method for your business, and the importance of balancing your brand’s voice with your own personal approach.
The session will also feature a real-life case study from Fizzel, an award-winning pickle and preserve company based in Manchester that has been working with the Business Growth Hub for the past 12 months. In that time, Fizzel has changed its products and moved into new markets, and despite a challenging economic climate, is now seeing its sales grow. This example will highlight how adapting your offer and exploring new sales channels can diversify your customer base, reduce business risk and support long-term growth.
To close, there will be further time for open networking, so you can continue the conversations, follow up with new contacts and explore potential collaborations.
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your sales skills, reach new customers or meet like-minded businesses, this event will provide practical ideas, inspiration and connections you can put into action straight away.
