The session will overview workplace characteristics that contribute to environments that precipitate good health and bad health.
Practical steps to:
(i) avoid a poor work environment (leading to poor health, low productivity, disengagement, higher costs and sub-optimal business performance)
(ii) create a positive work environment (leading to good health, high productivity, creativity, involvement & engagement, passion, caring, enjoyment, purpose and increased business performance)
You will also look at how to deal with and dissipate stress and anxiety on a personal level and how to deal with conflicting priorities and a high workload at work.
Bio of Deliverer
Mark Dyble has been working for 9½ years with Business Owners & Executives to develop their leadership skills, their people and their businesses.
Mark has a broad commercial general management background. Mark was the Managing Director of a start-up business based in the Far East. He has been General Manager of a Cash & Carry and Head of Logistics for a major sportswear brand. He has also spent time as a Financial Analyst for a large PlC, a Marketing Controller for a catering brand and a Programme Manager for a leading online and offline retailer. In his early 20s he was a coal-face supervisor, a baptism of fire when it comes to people management.
What will attendees learn / take away from the session?
- A compelling reason why they need to put thought, time and effort into maintaining or improving their health and general well-being.
- The knowledge of workplace environmental impacts on health & well-being and what to do to create a positive workplace environment (and enjoy the resulting benefits)
- Steps to take if you’re responsible for employees to create a work environment that promotes good health and good performance
- Steps to take on a personal level in situations where you have limited influence over the workplace environment and your workload.
More than anything else, participants will take away simple & easy ‘first steps’ to improve or enhance their health & well-being (or help others improve).
