This session is an introduction to marketing for those who are in the process of starting up a business. It will guide you through where to start, what to consider and how to minimise your risks by understanding your target audience.
The session opens with a guide on how to develop an entrepreneurial mindset to build resilience whilst being your own boss.
Topics will include:

What is marketing for a small business explained
How to find your target audience
How to get to know your target audience
How to test the market
Attendees will break preconceptions that 'everyone is your customer' by learning how to approach testing their idea so that they can better understand their audience, which minimises risk and builds confidence.
As this workshop is fully-funded, businesses are subject to eligibility criteria:
- Pre-revenue businesses only, i.e. individuals residing in Greater Manchester that have an idea for a business, or are starting up but have not made any sales
- They also required not to have had any pre-start support from GM Business Growth Hub within the last 2 years
