Location: Manchester City Centre
Time: 9:45am - 12:30pm
Theme: Leadership & Mentoring, People, Skills & Talent

Sorry this event has already taken place - please see our forthcoming events list

The Growth Company (GC) and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) propose to bring together both buyers and suppliers of public sector contracts that will support SME’s through the development of inclusive GM-based procurement/commissioning activity.

In line with the Government National Procurement Policy Statement, the roundtable will look to identify both barriers and opportunities within GM procurement that impact on the SME’s. The group will look to share current views, identify where short term ‘wins’ can be generated and consider long-term strategies required to create lasting change.

The roundtable is also an opportunity to understand mutual ambitions for the GM procurement landscape and work towards a shared plan to address barriers identified.

With this roundtable, attendees will be provided with a platform to represent themselves as a business but also as a broader member of the business community. In addition, they will meet with public sector commissioners to share experiences and help shape the future of procurement within Greater Manchester.
