Green Leaders - Sustainable Leadership

Leading a business is a hugely challenging role at any time. Over the last few years, leaders have also had to pay increasing attention to the climate crisis. Challenges in this areas include risk management, building resilience, recruitment and reputation. Businesses in the green economy have a great opportunity here and it is essential to demonstrate sustainability internally whilst providing advice and support.

This interactive, 2-day, online course lead by EleVate is designed for business leaders and owners within the green tech sector who want to better understand the impacts of climate change on their organisations and the wider business community.
Delegates will learn how to get the best from their teams, engage stakeholders at all levels and show the business case for green tech solutions.

 

The course includes the following modules:

• Understanding climate change and the impacts it has on businsesses and wider society. We will ensure you have the background knowledge required to talk confidently about climate change and provide real life examples of the changes seen around the world.

• Taking action on climate change. We will discuss what can be done to reduce carbon emissions, and the business case for making these changes.

• Selling the benefits of carbon reduction and sustainability to key stakeholders including employees, investors and customers. We will also cover how to include sustainability in the social value section of bids and tenders, for both you and your clients.

• Making your voice heard. This highly interactive module helps to build confidence in public speaking, to develop a strong personal brand and to establish yourself as a thought leader in the sector.

 

The Trainers

The sessions will be delivered by Ilona Alcock and Jessica Pomfret from Elevate.

Elevate is proud to be the world's first Carbon Literate business development organisation. Over 300 people have been accredited as Carbon Literate through Elevate's training.

As part of Elevate's commitment to sustainability, Ilona sits on the GM Green City Comms Board and is a trustee of animal welfare charity, Feathers Together. She was also named on Insider North West's first Green Power List.
