During the day we’ll cover:

  • Attitudes and approaches to risk
  • New methods of market research
  • The strategic rationale for innovation
  • The principles of hypothesis-based innovation, rapid prototyping and constant change

Workshop 2 - Manchester City Centre

Delivered by specialist advisors, this day aims to uncover the strategic rationale of why businesses should innovate and the value of doing so

During the day we’ll cover:

  • Creating a culture of innovation
  • Understanding the right drivers of motivation
  • Idea generation
  • Business model mapping
  • Business case for innovation

Workshop 3 - Manchester City Centre

Delivered by specialist advisors, this day continues the conversation from Workshop 2, but shifts the focus to implementation after evaluating the findings uncovered

  • Evaluation of ideas
  • Understanding the customer
  • Developing a value proposition
  • Got To Market plan
  • Funding

Following Workshop 1, the real work starts! This day-long session is designed to help you embed innovation into your organisation and find ways to sustain and amplify the impact of your innovation into the future

This session will cover:

  • How to manage and embed innovation culture
  • Building resilience for on-going innovation
  • Keeping momentum
  • Measuring success

Innovation Team

Steph Stafford – Senior Innovation Advisor, with over 25 years business development, coaching and management experience across various industry sectors. Steph has provided specialist innovation support to SMEs across the North-West on numerous private/public funded growth programmes.

Karen Dudley – Innovation Advisor Karen has over 30 years of experience in engaging with businesses across GM to offer a range of business and innovation support. Previously working in various managerial levels in both the private and public sectors and has owned/managed her own business.

Belinda Carp – Innovation Advisor Belinda has spent more than three decades working in small businesses – primarily in the textiles sector.

She studied Business Sustainability Management with the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) in 2019 and became a Climate Reality Leader in 2020
