Green tech SMEs are paving the way for large companies to reduce their emissions, however without addressing their own emissions SMEs risk a lack of credibility, competitive advantage and business resilience. With supply chain emissions being 11.4 times higher than operational emissions for these large companies, there is increasing pressure on the supply chain to be transparent on their credentials.

However, only half of UK SMEs are calculating emissions, and only 60% have plans to reduce carbon impact, with two-thirds of small business owners concerned they don’t have the right skills and knowledge to tackle the climate crisis.

Join us for this Green Economy Members Networking session to hear how to tackle this issue, and make connections with peers who are addressing the same problems.

The session will include:

  • Green Economy and Marketplace update and Q&A

  • Alasdair Dalzel-Job, Sustainability & Net Zero Advisor Business Growth Hub – The SME journey to Net Zero (Programme available for all GM based SMEs)

  • Phil Wharton, Director at The Purpose Project – Telling your sustainability journey

  • Green Economy Marketplace Profile Surgery – Work with our advisors to create or amend your profile

  • Networking
