Developing Your Social Enterprise in Salford (1)

Over the 4 weeks social entrepreneurs taking part in the programme will create a business plan to help them move up to the next stage in their organisation’s development​.

 

Using a dynamic combination of trainer input and participant interaction, attendees will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of some key aspects of managing a successful social enterprise in their particular local authority.

Over the 4-week programme, attendees will gain insight into some key aspects of running a social enterprise such as business planning, marketing, basic financial management, partnership working, appropriate legal structures.

Due to the interactive nature of the programme, exact content will be tailored to the needs of participant organisations and so the above is intended as an indication of likely topics to be covered.

Attendees will gain skills and knowledge which will be directly applicable to their social enterprise, together with contacts with other local social enterprises from their local area for ongoing support and encouragement. The business plan they create will be tailored to their own particular needs and circumstances.

Session 1: Monday 23rd May 2022 - 10:00-13:00
Session 2: Monday 30th May 2022 - 10:00-13:00
Session 3: Monday 6th June 2022 - 10:00-13:00
Session 4: Monday 13th June 2022 - 10:00-13:00

 

Eligibility

Our Workshops are part-funded by European Regional Development Fund. The workshops are delivered free of charge to participants; however, as they are fully-funded, they are classed as state aid to participating businesses and are subject to state aid rules.

Eligibility criteria:

• Business based in Greater Manchester with a Salford trading address
• B2B
• SME - Small or medium enterprise i.e.: less than 249 employees
• Annual Turnover less than 50 Million Euro OR Balance Sheet less than 43 million Euro
