Equity Funding for Early Stage Businesses

The event will chart the journey of a start up/ early stage business which has already bootstrapped itself to the point where external funding is now required. The story will be brought to life by a series of videos from experts in their fields, including Angels groups ,specialist loan providers, grant advice, and alternative finance solutions.

You will have a greater appreciation of the funding landscape and be able to clearly focus on what is achievable for their own circumstances.

The event will be led by funding specialists from the Access 2 Finance team and it will be particularly of interest to entrepreneurs of potentially very high growth businesses.

 

Delivered by Steve Wall:

A focussed and successful former corporate relationship director, with wide ranging banking experience gained with a major high street bank.

This included a significant period at a senior client relationship management level, where steve  managed high performing teams, as well as assisting all levels of  SMEs and larger businesses achieve their funding and growth goals.

Steve was also involved in developing and delivering conquest business to the Bank.

Latterly, Steve has been engaged in supporting SMEs to find funding where either their propositions have been declined or they do not know where to start the journey.

For a number of years, Steve has been involved in the management of the North West Business Angels network, developing the network from 50 investors and £50K of funding per annum  to 500 plus investors and in excess of £4m per year.

 

You will have had to sign up to the A2F programme prior to the event to ensure their suitability for equity funding. Businesses selected to move forward to a Business Angels practice pitch will be invited to the event by their Access 2 finance adviser
