Sorry this event has already taken place - please see our forthcoming events list

The University of Manchester is partnering with GC Business Growth Hub to offer opportunities for business support and access to finance to help your business grow.

We recognise that SMEs face many challenges to growth – lack of finance, resources and time to develop internal skills and increase capacity.

We have partnered with the Hub to give our suppliers the chance to benefit from fully-funded advice, help and funding opportunities.

This briefing will provide you with an introduction to our Supply Chain initiative and outline some of the award-winning services and support we have made available to you through our partner, GC Business Growth Hub.

Hear from Steve Dauncey, our Director of Finance on our aim of supporting small local businesses to grow sustainably, provide employment and learning potential for local people, and save money through efficiency improvements.

You will also hear from the Hub, who will provide an overview of the fully funded help and support they can offer to the University’s SME supply chain. This includes:

  • Resource Efficiency Support: Saving costs, access to grant funding, improving productivity and sales.
  • Leadership & Workforce Development: Finding, developing and keeping the right people for your business to grow.
  • Business Growth: Help with growth and development reviews and plans, including operations and marketing.
  • Access to Finance: Understand available options for raising finance and funding, together with financial planning supporting.

Registration for the event is from 9am, briefing will start from 9.30am.

The session will end at 12pm, followed by the opportunity to network and speak to Hub advisors one to one.
