This Start Smart workshop will help you gain insight into the basics all businesses should have in place, as well as hints, tips and ideas of how to move your business forward. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights from other new business owners including challenges and strategies they have used to overcome these.

Simon Dickinson

Simon has worked for GC Business Growth Hub for over 5 years and has a further 6 years’ experience of working for Business Link and a Chamber of Commerce as well in addition to working in market research.  Having been self-employed himself,  he understands the landscape for micro businesses and the importance  of accessing the right type of support.  Simon works closely alongside Stockport and Manchester City Councils to offer business advice in a range of areas to early stage business with the aspirations to grow and thrive.

Andrew Nickeas

Andrew is a seasoned business professional with 20 years’ experience in providing Start-up and Growth Support and Business Advice
