The session will enable attendees to acquire knowledge and understanding. Learn to master creative and technical skills that can be applied to the use of photography in social media marketing. This Workshop is ideal for any business owner or employee who has, or wants, an active role in improving content for their social media marketing.

An introduction on using different cameras such as smart phones, tablets, compact cameras, and digital SLR’S.

Learn about Composition - Choosing the best angles and locations.

Learn about Lighting - Understanding available light and using it to get the best results.

Visual storytelling – Making your pictures get the marketing message across.

How to… Photograph products, people, processes, services.

Digital Asset Management (DAM) – How to safely organise and save your images.

The Adventure Lumiere Team includes two experienced tutors that have over 25 years’ professional photography experience, plus experts from the world of fashion and beauty. Let them inspire your passion for photography. 

Brian Spranklen - Lead Photographer

Brian has worked in the photographic industry for over 25 years as a professional photographer and has gained experience in all aspects of photography and management. He enthusiastically delivers workshops to groups or on a one-to-one basis, understanding each persons strengths, weaknesses and learning styles as well as being able to identify the potential in each individual learner to motivate and coach them to achieve their aims.

Phil Melia - Lead Photographer

Phil is a highly experienced, self-employed, professional commercial, industrial and documentary photographer based in his studio gallery, situated in the village of Greenfield located on the edge of The Peak District in Saddleworth, England.

He has an extensive photographic educational background, attaining a HND in Advertising Photography from Salisbury College of Art, a Master’s Degree in International Documentary, Travel and Photojournalism from The University of Bolton, a Fellowship from The British Institute of Professional Photography and is a member of the NUJ.

Katerine Rosati - Logistics & Travel

Combine Katherine’s experience managing a photography studio, over ten years working within the Arts and managing events with a passion for travel, excellence and attention to detail gained from working within high end companies such as Hilton Hotels and Mercedes Benz and you have a member of the Adventure Lumiere Team who promises to ensure all your requirements are taken care of and that you are able to fully enjoy your time with Adventure Lumiere, stress free and relaxed.

Our Workshops are part-funded by European Regional Development Funds.

Our workshops are delivered free of charge to participants; however, as they are fully-funded, they are classed as state aid to participating businesses and are subject to state aid rules and the associated eligibility criteria:

  • Greater Manchester Clients Only
  • SME: Small or medium enterprise i.e. less than 250 (Full Time Equivalent) employees
  • Annual Turnover less than 50 Million Euro OR Balance Sheet less than 43 million Euro
