The Manufacturing Growth Fund in partnership with the BASE are organising a Meet the Buyer event for Manufacturing and Engineering SMEs as well as Digital / Tech SMEs to engage with J. Murphy & Sons Limited, a leading global, multi-disciplined engineering and construction company.

Operating in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Canada, Murphy provides better engineered solutions to infrastructure sectors including transportation; water; power; natural resources; and construction & property.

The business is looking at identifying areas of innovation which could benefit the civil engineering / construction sector. They are putting together a list of areas of innovation which they consider as a priority, which will be disseminated at the event.

The company will then want to engage with Innovative SMEs to identify potential products / technologies which could help them to achieve these innovation priorities.

J Murphy & Sons is also part of an industry forum: Infrastructure Industry Innovation Platform (i3P), which is an independent innovation community governed by representatives from its member organisations. There is potential for further opportunity via this group.
