Employment Law is very often seen as one of the most complex and claimant-friendly areas of law, as well as one of the most difficult for Growth Businesses to get to grips with. This one-day masterclass will help you to get up to speed with everything you need to know about Employment Law, as well as recent and forthcoming changes. Designed to be an interactive event, this event will provide practical guidance on how and why it’s important for Growth Businesses to put the right agreements, policies and procedures in place to get the best out of their staff and defend themselves from claims in a fast-paced and changing regulatory environment.

This Workshop is presented by BLM Partner Jim Lister, who specialises in strategic employment issues and has been advising Growth Businesses for well over 25 years. Described as “detailed and pragmatic” and having a “great reputation” for “calm and friendly advice”, Jim’s wealth of experience in acting for household name clients and straight-talking approach will help you to approach employment law with a better understanding of the detail and your exposure to human resource risk. He’ll deal with specific technical issues in a practical way so that you can better identify and prevent potential disputes and ensure that your greatest asset – your people – don’t become your greatest liability.
