Do you import goods from overseas, operate in international supply chains or export goods? If so, there are some significant changes ahead for when the UK leaves the Customs Union.

This workshop is a direct follow up to the Brexit series the Manufacturing Growth Fund delivered in early 2018 and aims to inform manufacturers in the North-West region of the latest Brexit developments that have come through.

Whilst trade deals and timelines are still to be finalised, there are measures that you can implement now to future proof your business before the March cut-off date. Developing a plan to manage Brexit now, no matter the final outcome of negotiations, will ensure that you are able to continue servicing your customer base and carry on with business as usual.

The Manufacturing Growth Fund will be delivering the two fully-funded workshops in  Lancashire and Cheshire & Warrington respectively, in partnership with the local Growth Hubs. These events will provide you with an outline of what Brexit means for small and medium manufacturing firms and provide you with tools required to prepare your business.

Who should attend?

Manufacturing leaders and managers from small and medium businesses who are responsible for strategic development, financial management and/or sales and marketing.

This workshop will be particularly beneficial for manufacturing businesses that currently only export or import to and from the EU and are unfamiliar with the paperwork and procedures that are usually required for countries outside the Union.

What will I leave with?

  • Tools to inform your business planning
  • Access to local expertise to help you with business planning, supply chain management and/or sales and marketing strategy

Speakers

  • Mike Brook, Principal Consultant, Brook Corporate Developments
  • Jayne Mezulis, Specialist Export and Import Consultant, Brook Corporate Developments
