An interactive session functioning as a one-day “Bootcamp” for Growth Businesses on the major issues likely to impact on their progress, this session covers:

  • GDPR – Challenges and Practical Solutions to the new Data Protection Regime
  • Basic Contract Law
  • Basic Corporate Law – Mergers & Growth
  • Directors’ Duties
  • Intellectual Property Law
  • Advertising Law
  • Social Media & The Law

The session will be delivered at The Landing, in the heart of MediaCity UK, on the eve of the introduction of the new General Data Protection and will help you make sense of the impending sweeping changes to privacy law. Our aim is to put you in the best position possible to comply with the new regime and take away practical guidance on what you need to do first, next and on an ongoing basis to avoid attracting the attention of the Information Commissioner and avoid civil claims in the wake of the Morrisons Data Breach Case.

Delivered by Steve Kuncewicz, a Partner at BLM in Manchester and a specialist in Data Protection, Intellectual Property, Media and Commercial Law, this intensive session provides an overview of fundamental legal issues as part of GrowthCo’s extensive business support programme and has been repositioned on feedback from previous attendees to make it as relevant as possible and justify a day away from your business.
