Mayor Andy Burnham has said he wants to make Greater Manchester a leading Green City in Europe declaring a new, accelerated ambition for our green economy and carbon-neutrality. To help realise these ambitions, he has organised a landmark Green Summit on 21st March and we need your voice to be heard.

Greater Manchester has a current target to be Carbon Neutral by 2050. This is ambitious but necessary and the Summit will explore ways in which this target can be brought forward.

This will impact on everything we do as a business community, generating a wealth of opportunities, new markets and radical changes to the way your business will work. It will cover everything from energy to transport and heating to material efficiency.

The discussions we’re having now will influence what we do for decades to come, so it’s vital that businesses have their say. While the challenges are great the opportunities are greater.

To make sure your voice is heard we’re holding a breakfast Listening Event on Wednesday 7 March. This will formally feed into the Summit and will enable you to shape, influence, and benefit from an early understanding of our future as part of a Green City Region.

Register your interest to take advantage of this unique opportunity to influence Greater Manchester’s green future.

Please be aware that registering does not guarantee a place. Places are very limited and will be in touch to confirm.
