Mental health issues such as stress, depression and anxiety account for almost 70 million days off sick per year. So if your business is affected, now would be a good time to consider how you manage and support the Mental Health of your staff.
60% of employees say they’d feel more motivated and more likely to recommend their organisation as a good place to work if their employer acted to support mental health and wellbeing.
The workshop will give an overview of Mental Health First Aid (a government backed initiative that sits alongside conventional First Aid Training) considering the key areas that are prevalent in today’s workplaces and social environments. It will explore the signs to consider when evaluating mental health and more specifically depression, anxiety, personality disorders, eating disorders and self harm. It also defines and offers insight into psychosis, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
