Manchester’s hotel sector is booming with a flurry of new entries to the market. Motel One, Hotel Gotham, King Street Townhouse, INNSIDE Manchester and Hotel Football opened in 2015 while The Lowry Hotel underwent a multi-million pound transformation.

Despite the glut of openings, Manchester enjoyed record occupancy rates as the city’s visitor economy continues to go from strength to strength – and more exciting openings are planned.

Hilton Hotels; easyJet; Travelodge; and The Topland Group have all announced plans of their own while hotels form a key part of Allied London's £1bn St John's masterplan and Gary Neville’s and Ryan Giggs’ St Michael's development.

So what does the future of Manchester’s hotel sector look like? Is the future niche or corporate? Can Manchester’s visitor economy sustain even more hotels? These will be some of the questions discussed atBusinessCloud’s hotel breakfast discussion.
