Most property investors are now probably aware of the tax changes that are coming into effect over the next few years in relation to buy-to-let residential property. These changes will have a detrimental effect on the yield that investors will get from their property investments going forward. There are however ways in which buy-to-let property investments can be re-structured in a tax efficient manner.

Jackson Stephen have partnered with award-winning Manchester-based buy-to-let specialists Sequre Property Investment and award-winning sales and lettings agent Ascend Properties. Presentations will include investment advice for both first time and experienced investors, in addition to illustrated ways in which investment property can be managed and structured to mitigate the recent tax changes.

Speakers

Michael Sacks, Director, Sequre Property Investment

Michael will be covering most aspects of investing in buy-to-let property. As an experienced investor himself, Sequre's director will be sharing his insights on what makes a successful buy-to-let investment and how to get the very best returns. Michael will also evaluate the recent tax changes and highlight what this means for both novice and experienced investors.

Lora Roberts, Portfolio Manager, Ascend Properties

Lora is the portfolio manager of Manchester city centre's most innovative estate and letting agency. Managing over 1,000+ rental properties on behalf of investors and landlords nationwide, this presentation will cover all aspects of successfully managing investment portfolios and give attendees some valuable insights on how to fully maximimise returns.

Lucy Williams, Senior Tax Manager, Jackson Stephen LLP

Lucy is an experienced senior tax manager who has worked with many property clients over her career, from large property investment companies to those with smaller property portfolios. The presentation will respond to Michael and Lora's presentations from a tax perspective and will give an overview of what needs to be considered and what action can be taken when structuring buy-to-let property investments to ensure that the tax position is managed.
