Document verification and making sure that someone is who they say they are, is a crucial first step in the pre-employment screening process. If done incorrectly, it can lead to a fine of up to £20,000.
Run by the Business Growth Hub and Greater Manchester Police, this workshop is designed for anyone involved with checking the documents of prospective employees. It will cover some of the common issues to look out for with forgeries, particularly around documents such as passports and driving licences, and will give staff the confidence to deal with these situations.
It will also look at some of the simple measures that can be put in place to deter people from using forgeries in the first place.
