A survey conducted by The British Chambers of Commerce also highlighted Brexit anxieties such as slowing exports, recruitment difficulties and scaled back investment plans.
However following a shareholder vote, Unilever are no longer moving their headquarters out of the UK. Britain’s third biggest company, they own household brands including Marmite, Dove and Ben & Jerry’s.
The Institute for Fiscal Studies have indicated that manual workers in industries that sell large amounts to the EU will be at risk, and export orders amongst manufactures have dropped to the lowest level revealed by CBI industrial trends survey.
The Japanese prime minister said Britain would be welcomed into the Pacific free trade pact when it leaves the European Union.
