Greater Together

Across Greater Manchester, business leaders and owners have played their part in helping prevent the spread of coronavirus throughout the pandemic.

As we learn to live safely with coronavirus, there are actions we can all take to help reduce the risk of catching COVID-19 and passing it on to others.

The UK Health Security Agency has set out new public health principles for workplaces, businesses, organisations and employers in England to consider in managing the risk to their workforce from respiratory infections such as COVID-19. These include encouraging and enabling vaccination, considering ventilation and maintaining a clean workplace.

Whilst there is no longer an expectation that every employer will consider COVID-19 explicitly in their risk assessment, employers should continue to comply with their legal obligations to their staff.
