CRE8

CRE8 is a marketing and creative agency based in Leigh, Greater Manchester. Managing Director Paul Newton founded the business in 2009, initially operating as a freelance graphic designer. The agency has grown steadily over the last eight years, now operating as a full-service marketing and creative agency supporting clients with marketing strategy and consultancy, web development, graphic design, copywriting and digital marketing.

CRE8’s client base is made up of four main sectors: the education sector, including schools, Teaching Schools and Multi-Academy Trusts; local small and medium-sized businesses; the legal sector; and a recent move into the international market, with a major client in Dubai.

CRE8 has been supported by the Business Growth Hub since the early days of the business. Marketing Manager Victoria Gregson said: “Our business advisor Bob Dackiw has been very supportive in helping us to create and develop our business strategy and to position ourselves in the market place. He’s also advised us in developing processes and procedures which have helped to create efficient workflows and systems.

“Through our work with Bob, Deidre Hughes from the Business Growth Hub approached us for our insight to support her project aimed at gathering intelligence and challenging perceptions about apprenticeships. We were happy to share our experiences and contribute to the project. Apprenticeships will play a key part in our business’ continuing growth and we have met members of the workforce development team to reinforce our recruitment and training planning.

“We’ve also benefited from support through the Hub’s Rahim Lakha, who has advised us on our digital strategy and has challenged us to think differently and be ambitious. Rahim also referred us to a contact in the Department for International Trade, who’s advising us on how to expand the international side of our business.

“We’re still a relatively small company, but we have big plans for the future. We’ve invested a lot of time and effort in getting to this stage, and we want to take our people forward with us. The support we’ve had from colleagues at the Business Growth Hub has played a key role in the success of our business, and we look forward to that relationship continuing to flourish.”
